Microscopy Specialist (m/f/d, full-time)

The operation of the BioOptics Core Facility is based on a cooperation of Boehringer Ingelheim and the Austrian Academy of Sciences and provides services to 36 research groups and 450 scientists from over 40 countries. The facility provides the researchers at the IMP/IMBA/GMI with service in flow cytometry, microscopy and image analysis. Key responsibilities

  • Manage and assist instruments maintenance
  • Provide training and guidance to non-expert users
  • Support acquisition & downstream data analysis using Matlab, Phyton, Java, etc.
  • Support and development of advanced microscopy-based workflows & data handling (FLIM, FRAP, TIRF, multiphoton, Spinning Disk, Light-Sheet, Super Resolution)
  • Assist, conduct and develop teaching activities
