CRGBiological SR Microscopy Course

Course in Biologcial Super-Resolution Microscopy from May 2nd to 5th 2016 at the CRG in Barcelona

Kees Jalink                    Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam
Lorenzo Albertazzi        IBEC, Barcelona
Magali Mondin             Institute of Biology Valrose, Nice

Timo Zimmermann       CRG, Barcelona

In the last years, super-resolution light microscopy equipment has become more widely available for biological researchers. Most if not all of the existing approaches do however present challenges in sample preparation, image acquisition and also the subsequent analysis that need to be met for the successful execution of a biological experiment. The course will provide an introduction into super-resolution imaging for STED and localization microscopy on state of the art instrumentation and focus on the important aspects of label selection, labeling strategies, sample mounting, imaging (3D) and subsequent anaylsis of STED and dSTORM datasets.
