The Francis Crick Institute (the Crick) is a research institute dedicated to discovering the fundamental biology underlying human health, with the aim of improving the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human disease.

Imaging is a cornerstone technology underpinning science at the Crick. We seek a dynamic and talented Image Analyst to engage with Crick Research Groups (CRGs) in answering a wide range of exciting scientific questions using data from light microscopy, as well as electron microscopy, histology, and pre-clinical imaging modalities. The Image Analyst will work closely with CALM staff to support all aspects of image analysis, from experimental design to the interpretation and presentation of data. This will include training users in the use of ImageJ, and working with CRGs on projects requiring the development of more sophisticated tools for colocalization, segmentation, registration, and tracking.

The CALM-STP supports advanced studies of molecular and cellular localization and interaction in living cells, tissues, and whole organisms. We provide training in image acquisition and analysis techniques, and maintain a suite of imaging systems for use by CRGs. The post of Image Analyst has been created within the CALM-STP at the Senior Laboratory Research Scientist level.
