Postdoctoral Associate position to develop a fast FLIM lightsheet microscope

An experienced physicist with a background in laser microscopy is sought for a project to functionalise a prototype lightsheet microscope for lifetime imaging of protein interactions in vivo. This is a collaborative project with the optics company PCO AG and aims to improve and add extra functionality to a lightsheet microscope for measuring of lifetime by frequency domain FLIM.

Applicants will have a strong background in laser physics and be a competent programmer, ideally with experience of LabVIEW and Python. They should have an interest in engaging with companies and for exploring opportunities to commercialise outputs from the project by securing follow on funding.

The selection process will include competency based questions, a presentation, an assessment and a panel interview.

This post will be a 1 year fixed term contract.
