VI. Core Management Workshop
on Innovation in Core Facilities
17-19 February 2020 – De Hoorn, Leuven, Belgium
Dear colleague,
The VI. Core Management Workshop is hosted by VIB and will be organized in Leuven from 17-19 February 2020. The topic of this edition is ‘Innovation in Core Facilities’.
With a group of about 25 participants, we want to discuss how core facilities keep up with innovations, what innovation entails in a core facility setting, and how to be part of an innovative ecosystem? Different topics will be covered, ranging from examples of innovation to the creation of the right mindset in the life science institutes. We will discuss the required skill set, the necessity for a proper mandate, the expectations to manage, and other requirements that are essential for innovation in core facilities.
To stimulate the discussions, several invited experts will be covering the different aspects of innovation, including the integration of innovative services and evaluating the outcomes. Participants will be able to present their work, and there will be plenty of networking opportunities.
If you are interested in joining this workshop, please send us your motivation letter before 20 December. The form can be found and submitted through the web page.
