ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.
The FMP Cellular Imaging Facility supports over 100 researchers with advanced light and electron microscopy technology, develops new imaging techniques for studying living and fixed cells, small organisms and tissue organization. In order to visualize proteins and membranes at the nanoscale we continuously improve our super-resolution microscopes, develop correlative light and electron microscopy to study dynamic processes in the nanometer range and measure molecular interactions by means of Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET). We apply our technologies to own research questions focusing on paracellular barriers, mitochondria and neuronal synapses. The FMP Cellular Imaging Facility is offering a Staff Microscopy Assistant position on technician/BSc./Engineer level at https://leibniz-fmp.softgarden.io/job/18322618?l=de
