ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.
In the lab of Prof. Ibrahim Cissé (Department of Biological physics) at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg is a Position as Technical Assistant (m/f/d) (BTA, CTA, MTA) available. The Cissé Lab develops Single Molecule and Super-resolution microscopy approaches to visualize gene expression and other processes in live cells, and to study protein clustering and the bimolecular condensation in transcription. The Department of Biological Physics currently houses state-of-the-art microscopes: including PALM/STORM, SIM, STED, Minflux, and Lattice light-sheet microscopes. The position is open immediately and initially funded for two years.
