MiFoBio (Functional Microscopy in Biology) is a multidisciplinary CNRS school in life imaging, it brings together a large community whose goal is to get access thanks to imaging to the understanding of mechanisms involved in life: from molecular and cell biology, chemistry for the synthesis of molecular probes, optics, physics for the development of instrumentation and theoretical models, computer science for the analysis and storage of images, and finally methods of interpretation and measurements’ modeling.
This CNRS school, which is supported by Inserm, FBI and ITMO BCBDE, is organized by members of GDR ImaBio and RTmfm with support of GdRs Ondes, ADN and CellTiss. MiFoBio is not restricted to experts in microscopy, its purpose is rather to promote scientific diversity and to allow non-specialists to acquire a good level of knowledge and to encourage interactions at the boundaries between disciplines. It is intended for the entire scientific community working on the understanding of life through biological imaging : researcher, engineer, technician or doctoral student from different disciplines involved in the development or the implementation of functional microscopy tools.
MiFoBio school offers a totally original set of courses, round tables and practical workshops. In addition to high-value speakers, MiFoBio benefits from the support of the industry’s manufacturers, of an exceptional instrumental park and cell biology equipment, supporting a series of workshops led by the participants themselves.
Numerous workshops allow real experiments on biological material, within a wide range of biological questions in cell and developmental biology, and on real living biological models.
Possibility of GdR scholarship for students and post-doc.
Come with your samples and find out which techniques can answer your questions!
