ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.
The Department of Physics of the University of Ottawa seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Experimental Biophotonics of biological/living systems. Advanced coherent nonlinear and linear optical imaging/microscopy is the main target area for this search. Strong applicants working in areas related but not limited to imaging applied to cellular biomechanics/cell biology, soft matter physics and machine learning for imaging will also be considered.
Title of the position: Assistant professor level but exceptional candidates at higher academic levels are also encouraged to apply.
Duties: The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities pertaining to research and/or professional work; c) academic service activities, d) supervision of graduate students.
Terms: Tenure-track position.
