Within the framework of the local Cluster of Excellence ‘Cells in Motion – CiM’ we are seeking an ambitious and service-oriented scientist with excellent organizational and communicational skills to coordinate the microscopy unit of a university-wide imaging network. The position will initially be for 3 years with the possibility of permanency upon positive evaluation.
CiM uniquely merges excellence in cell biology and imaging at the University of Münster and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine. It integrates internationally visible research groups from medicine, natural sciences and mathematics. Research fields relevant to our cluster range from biophysical aspects of cell dynamics to cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, cell migration and differentiation, mathematical modeling of biological systems and membrane biochemistry. Many of our scientific projects employ a wide variety of optical and non-optical imaging techniques to study different aspects of cell dynamics.
