ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.
Volume imaging and 3D correlative approaches are developing fast with increasing number of users and applications. This symposium aims not only at providing an update on the latest development in the field but also at connecting people. Experts and new-to-the-field will have the opportunity to share their experience and their views on the current methods and tools, but also exchange about the future challenges of these emerging techniques.
The session topics are as follows:
The workshops will include:
In addition there will be three panel discussions on broad topics within the scope of 3D Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy. This will be an opportunity to raise questions to experts in the field. We are encouraging participants to post questions on each of these topics before the event so that the session can cover the most pressing issues. The topics will be:
Participants will have the choice to attend all 6 workshops, or to substitute one or more workshops with panel discussions.
This workshop will be followed by a Gatan 3view user group meeting.
This workshop is jointly organised by ZEISS and EMBL.
