ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.
In the “Production Metrology“ Department we focus on a diverse range of optical
measuring techniques for quality assurance both in industrial production and in life
sciences. Among other things, we develop microscopy systems for automated high
throughput image processing. We deploy these in automated cell culture as well as in
100% micro-component testing.
In one on-going research project we are working on an innovative approach to
eradicating the meniscus effect in the phase contrast microscopy of cell cultures. We are
looking for creative and committed graduates, who are keen to play an active role within
our interdisciplinary team in shaping the future of high-speed imaging to support both
this project and our research activities in the fi eld of microscopy.
