Engineer in High-/Super-Resolution Fluorescence Microscopy, AMBIO, Berlin, Germany

We are seeking a temporary replacement (parent leave) for an Engineer staff position within the Advanced Medical Bioimaging Core Facility of the Charité in Berlin Campus Mitte (AMBIO, https://ambio.charite.de). The candidate will support the head of AMBIO (Dr. Jan Schmoranzer) to further develop and maintain the newly built advanced imaging facility (Nikon Center of Excellence). He/she will train and assist users to perform advanced imaging projects and perform overall maintenance tasks. The position is jointly funded by the AMBIO core facility (Charité) and by the SFB958/Z02 project on super-resolution microscopy (DFG) and thus offers the opportunity to apply and learn about high- and super-resolution imaging methods. The position is initially limited to the parent leave of the current engineer (min. 6 months), but may be prolonged depending on the funding situation and the qualification of the candidate.
