ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.

These positions are based in the research group of Dr. Bin-Zhi Qian in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the University of Edinburgh. The group is investigating tumor microenvironment of bone metastasis of breast and prostate cancer. Our long-term goal is to understand the disease mechanism of metastasis and develop novel therapeutic approaches by focusing on tumor-stromal interactions. Our projects are well funded and supported by collaborators in tumor-microenvironment, translational and clinical research. The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Edinburgh was established in 1726 and is one of the best medical institutions in the world. The positions offer intensive training in in vivo models, state-of-the-art ex vivo and intra-vital imaging and translational research. The positions are offered for 2 years in first instance and extendible to 5 years.
