About the ELMI

ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.

Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy Workshop at iBiOs/CellNanOs, 13-17 May 2019, Osnabrueck, Germany

Topic: Single Molecule Imaging and Lattice Light-Sheet Microscopy

This workshop will cover high-speed volumetric imaging and super resolution microscopy techniques based on single molecule imaging and structured illumination microscopy using TIRF and lattice light-sheet microscopy (LLSM). The iBiOs provides 5 days of hands-on sessions at four different imaging systems (3x TIRFM, 1x LLSM):

Participants will learn the entire workflow of sample preparation, imaging and image processing to obtain quantitative data. The hands-on sessions are complemented by two scientific lectures per day given by local researches applying these techniques to cellular microcompartments.

This workshop is directed towards researchers in the life sciences with strong interest in learning and applying these techniques for their specific biological research project.

Participants are invited to bring their own samples. We can host max. 12 people. Please, send your informal application (brief motivation, sample description if applicable and your expectations concerning the workshop) to ibios@uos.de.
