About the ELMI

ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.

Microscope Manager and Researcher, Galveston, Texas, USA

We are interested in hiring an active research scientist to develop and manage a new microscope facility in the Molecular Mechanomedicine Program.  This facility will also serve the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department (UTMB) and will be involved in training postdocs and grad students.  The emphasis will be on dynamic super-resolution imaging of functions driven by viruses, bacteria and cell motility systems with a particular interest in the effects of mechanical environment and forces.  The candidate will have time for their own research program and collaborative projects are encouraged.

UTMB is located in Galveston, TX that is close to Houston; and has easy access to wildlife of the Gulf Coast (see below).

Please send your CV and a brief description of your research interests to  either Linda Kenney (likenney@utmb.edu) or Michael Sheetz (misheetz@utmb.edu).
