Euro-BioImaging User Forum: Understanding and Fighting Cancer, 14 October 2021, virtual

Dear Euro-BioImaging Colleagues and Friends,

 
Euro-BioImaging is organizing a second online User Forum on “Understanding and Fighting Cancer”.  The event takes place on October 14, 2021 from 14:00-17:00 CEST. 
 
This event will highlight the importance of cutting-edge imaging technologies in support of cancer research and showcase the specific expertise available at our Nodes via presentations from users:

• Margarita Sobol, Institute of Molecular Genetics, Czech Academy of Sciences, “Endogenous DNA single-strand breaks in cancer” in collaboration with the Advanced Light and Electron Microscopy Node, Prague
• Riccardo Rizzo, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), “Golgi maturation-dependent glycoenzyme recycling controls glycosphingolipid biosynthesis and cell growth via GOLPH3” in collaboration with the Advanced Light Microscopy Italian Node
• Christian Dullin, University of Göttingen, “Applications of Virtual Histology at the Phase Contrast Imaging Node in Trieste” in collaboration with the Phase Contrast Imaging Flagship Node Trieste 
• Leonard Seelen, University Medical Center, Utrecht, “Phospholipid imaging to prevent ineffective chemotherapy” with the Dutch High Field Imaging Hub

In addition, keynote presentations from Jacky G. Goetz, INSERM/University of Strasbourg, and Marty Pagel, MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas, will further reveal the potential of biological and biomedical imaging technologies to boost cancer research.
