ELMI was created in 2001 to establish a unique communication network between European scientists working in the field of light microscopy and the manufacturers of their equipment.

Community Manager, neubias and German BioImaging, Germany

German BioImaging – Society for Microscopy and Image Analysis e.V. (GerBI) is currently engaged by the Network of European BioImage Analysts (NEUBIAS) to found a Society for Knowledge Exchange in BioImage Analysis (SoBIAS). We are hiring a community manager to help us towards this.

Initial employment is set for 24 months starting as soon as possible.

NEUBIAS is an international community of bioimage analysts, microscopists, computer scientists and life scientists. We are an open-minded community and strive to sustain the community in the long term. As our community manager you will play a key role in these actions and you will play a central role in helping to organize the bioimage analysis community. You will report to the NEUBIAS Steering Committee and decide on Work Packages with them. Our host organization GerBI will support you in setting up the NEUBIAS society.

This position can help shape the future of the bioimage analysis community, so the Steering Committee is looking for an imaginative, proactive and responsible person to fill this role with the goal of shaping the Society of BioImage Analysts and represent the entire community in scientific conferences and international events.We will set up your remote-office with all the technical equipment you need.
