Your responsibilities
With state-of-the art automated microscopy platforms you will analyze the spatial and dynamic interactions of cellular constituents between healthy and diseased cellular models and test putative therapeutic substances. The cellular models include besides classical cell lines also models with a potential higher translatable value, like primary cells, ex-vivo systems and organoid cultures.

We are seeking a passionate scientist with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology. You should be able to combine different disciplines, like genetic modulation of cellular model systems with physiology and high-resolution microscopy at an experimental level. We expect you to be highly motivated, self-driven and a responsible team player.

Your qualifications
A Ph.D. in life sciences or any related discipline is essential. A strong expertise in cell biology, live-cell imaging, automated quantitative image acquisition, image analysis and statistical data analysis is preferred. Background in the area of metabolic diseases and/or diabetes research is an advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential, knowledge of German is a definite plus.
